A Better Way to Mobile Bank!

From your iPhone or Android mobile device, you can make secure deposits to your checking account 24 hours a day, 7 days a week! Mobile Deposit features multiple layers of security, and is as easy as taking a picture.

Overview

Save time and gas by easily depositing your checks wherever you may be. Now you can make a quick and secure deposit of your checks with our Mobile Banking App.

How it Works

  • Log into the Mobile Banking App and select Deposits.
  • Select New Deposit
  • Select the account that you want to make the deposit to.
  • Enter the amount of the check you are depositing and select continue.
  • *Endorse the check and add “For Gateway Bank Mobile Deposit Only” below your signature.
  • Snap a picture of the front and back of your endorsed check.
  • (Images are stored securely at Gateway Bank and are not saved on your phone.)
  • After each picture is taken, select Use Photo to send the image or select Retake.
  • Once you send the image, you will be prompted to confirm the deposit details. Select Yes to deposit the check.

Funds will typically be available in the account the next business day if deposited prior to the cut off time. As a precaution, please keep your check until the funds are posted to your account. After that, it should be shredded.

How secure is Mobile Deposit?
Mobile Deposit is very secure. It features multiple layers of security, giving your account and check data the highest level of safety available.

When will deposits be posted into my account?
If you make a deposit before 4:30 p.m. Eastern Time on a business day that we are open, we will consider that day to be the day of your deposit. Otherwise, we will consider that the deposit was made on the next business day we are open. Your funds will usually be available within 2 business days. Clients are responsible for verifying that deposits have posted to the appropriate account.

What should I do with the original paper checks after deposits are made?
Please keep your paper check for at least 7 days from the date the funds are posted to your account.
